Description
What happens when engineering students take everything they’ve learned in the classroom and put it to the ultimate test? They build a race car from the ground up. Our Baja SAE program gives mechanical engineering students an incredible hands-on opportunity to design custom components, machine parts in the CSUF machine shop, and fabricate a competition-ready vehicle through welding and assembly. As a senior design capstone project, Baja SAE challenges students to collaborate, solve complex problems, and turn an idea on paper into a machine built to perform.
Your support can help put a brand-new Baja SAE car on the track. Donations will provide the raw materials, tools, and off-the-shelf mechanical components needed to design, machine, and fabricate our next race car, while also helping cover the travel costs required to bring our team and vehicle to the SAE Baja competition in Marana, Arizona, in Spring 2027. Give today and fuel the next generation of engineers as they build, innovate, compete, and put their skills to the ultimate test.
