Support Industry and Research Site Engagement for Chemistry Students!
The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department engages students in the classroom and lab with high impact research opportunities. We are looking to expand the horizons of what students think is possible for themselves through experiential site visits to industry partners and research universities.

IMPACT
Advanced undergraduate and graduate students, when they get to visit cutting edge research facilities can really envision themselves being scientists. They get to see the classroom and research principles they've been honing at CSUF in action in a very tangible way. In short, it expands their horizons and inspires them to pursue career avenues they may not have thought possible before.
Some Examples
Spring 2025 – 11 students in Organic Synthesis course did a field trip to Pfizer Laboratories in La Jolla (https://news.fullerton.edu/spotlight/chemistry-students-explore-cutting-edge-technology-at-pfizer-laboratories/)
Fall 2025 – 11 students in Kinetics and Spectroscopy will travel to University of California, Irvine to tour the research labs associated with the research publications or scientific literature they are reading in class
