Pi Sigma Alpha is the National Political Honor Society here at CSUF. Our mission is to stimulate scholarship and intelligent interest in political science, which we do through sponsoring speaker events, community service projects and activities that provide the opportunity for deeper conversation with fellow students and faculty.
Our goal now is to create two fellowships: one for students and scholars looking to do graduate studies and the other for political science majors who study Women and Gender in politics with a direct grant of $500 to awardees. Our fellowship program is for the purpose of maintaining awards created in part to celebrate the significant commitments and contributions made by retiring Political Science faculty and longtime Pi Sigma Alpha advisor Dr. Valerie O'Regan. The award scope includes scholars within Pi Sigma Alpha and scholars studying Women and Politics.
We need your support to directly help and incentivize political science majors to research and study the stated subfield area of Women and Gender politics, and contribute to costs for the $500 grants for 5 years through Fall 2027.
