We are raising funds to support the "Camp" of STEM Queeries, an online summer enrichment program for 2SLGBTQIA+ high school-aged youth that empowers them to explore STEM fields in a welcoming and inclusive environment. This innovative program nurtures the STEM identities of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth by providing interdisciplinary lessons led by 2SLGBTQIA+ or allied undergraduate and graduate students.
Your donation will help cover the costs associated with running the camp and organizing related activities throughout the year, ensuring that both campers and facilitators have opportunities to share their experiences at local and national conferences.
Research shows that 2SLGBTQIA+ students are significantly underrepresented in STEM due to a lack of belonging and support. "Camp" of STEM Queeries is designed to change that by fostering mentorship, building confidence, and providing a safe space for these students to explore their passions. With your support, we can continue to break down barriers, increase representation, and create a vibrant, diverse future in STEM.
