Cybersecurity Student Competitions

Thanks to Alex Tosheff, $1,000 will be unlocked when we get 10 donors!

The Center for Cybersecurity is the hub for cyber education, research, and community outreach at Cal State Fullerton. It works to provide students with hands-on, practical cybersecurity experience they can take into the workforce. The Offensive Security Society (OSS) club is supported by the center and regularly competes and places at regional and international cybersecurity competitions that offer these kinds of co-curricular, practical experiences.

Students at the Center for Cybersecurity are seeking YOUR support for training and travel costs for the 2024-25 academic year's slate of competitions. This includes:

  • Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC) regionals and international
  • Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition
  • CyberSeed Challenge

These competitions come with cost such as:

  • Registration Fees
  • Travel and lodging
  • Training software such as Hack the Box, Try Hack Me
  • Faculty advising and coaching

Additional funds raised will also help with the OSS 10 year anniversary, OSS Con, happening in December 2024.

Your support can help cybersecurity culture thrive at CSUF. Thank you!

IMPACT

By supporting, you give the Titan cybersecurity students a high impact learning practice opportunity. At these competitions, students gain tons of real-world skills in penetration testing, security consulting, and technical prowess. In addition, they also flex our business and hireable-skill muscles as they communicate findings to C-suite executives.
