Dr. Lori Phelps was an instrumental voice in Addictions Counseling in the state of California and pioneered our Addictions concentration in the Human Services (HUSR) department at Cal State Fullerton. In addition to being an author and former president of the California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators (CAADE), she was an incredible advocate for students and pursuing excellence in the Addictions counseling field. Sadly, Dr. Phelps was taken from us too soon after a difficult battle with cancer.
In memory of Dr. Phelps, we are fundraising to support the memorial scholarship named in her honor. This fund helps support Human Services students seeking certification as addictions counselors in the state of California by completing our HUSR Addictions Concentration. All funds go toward tuition assistance scholarships for students in the HUSR Addictions Concentration.
We invite you to honor Dr. Lori Phelps' legacy as we work together to help educate excellent Addictions professionals in California!
