The Pollak Library's University Archives & Special Collections is the guardian of campus memories and the steward of rare and unique materials that support education and scholarly research – for Titans and for researchers worldwide. Plans are under development to renovate and expand UA&SC’s home on the third floor of the south tower of the Pollak Library to create a spacious, welcoming new space, with state-of-the-art climate controls to protect the university's treasures and a hospitable reading room to welcome the Titan community and visitors.
Our special collections curate and safeguard documents, books, and artifacts unavailable elsewhere, providing vital resources for Titan scholars and learners. Your generous donation to the Pollak Library's University Archives & Special Collections will help us to create an environment that encourages study and exploration, while providing the climate-controlled storage needed for preservation that is essential to fulfill our mission of service to the Titan community.
Donating $10 can help preserve resources such as the Roy V. Boswell Collection for the History of Cartography. Navigate to University Archives & Special Collections, currently housed on the third floor of the Pollak Library South, to explore maps dating from 1285-1900 as well as published works on cartography, geography, and navigation.
Donating $25 can help preserve our amazing comic book collection. Come and see a variety of comic books in University Archives & Special Collections.
Donating $50 can help us preserve our Science Fiction Collection, and build upon our new collection of Latinx Science Fiction. University Archives & Special Collections holds the original screenplay of Bladerunner, written by Mexican-American author Hampton Fancher and based on Philip K. Donating $75 can help us preserve and build upon our Latinx and Chicanx materials. The Library holds posters and other rare materials related to El Teatro Campesino, Cesar Chavez, the Farmworkers’ movement, and more in University Archives & Special Collections.
