Campus Garden

The CSUF Campus Garden started from a small grant from the chancellor's office. In April 2022, we were able to purchase and build an above-ground garden structure and began accepting applications from various faculty, student organizations, and departments on campus interested in shepherding a garden bed.  

Today, we celebrate over a year of successful operation, which includes:

• The training of over 200 CSUF students on gardening basics and its role in proper nutrition and sustainability. 
• Using the harvested vegetables and herbs, we taught nutrition cooking classes to over 50 CSUF students. 
• Donating harvested vegetables to the university’s Tuffy’s Basic Needs program.
• The presenting of a gardening and nutrition lesson to 30 Orange County elementary students by three of our CSUF garden students.

Now we need YOUR help to take the Campus Garden to the next level! 

Your donation will allow us to expand and install more raised-bed garden containers to involve even more students and classes, to add even more native plants that attract vital pollinators, such as bees and butterflies as well as utilize this space to educate students and provide them hands-on learning opportunities.   

We are also in the process of taking our trained CSUF students  into the community to have them teach elementary-age students about gardening, sustainability, and healthy nutrition.
