It's ROCK-tober at Fullerton Arboretum!

Help us ROCK our Desert collection during the month of October! Your donation will help build new ROCK bordered trails throughout our Deserts to protect the plants, control soil erosion and prevent the habitat destruction of ground-nesting bees. Arboretum student intern Kaiming Liu, '22 created this beautiful rendering depicting the addition of rocks creating trails in our Desert collection.

The Desert Collection at Fullerton Arboretum displays many rare and threatened plant species from around the world including plants from Baja, Southern Africa, Madagascar, Sonoran and Mojave regions. There are no clear pathways in our Desert area which has resulted in habitat destructing social trails. Natural desert rock will create a sturdy, yet natural border to the pathways.

Make your donation today! Come visit us during ROCK-tober and see these trails develop! Together we can enhance the experience of exploring this extraordinary collection of plants native to deserts around the world.
