Established in 1965, The Center for Economic Education at Cal State Fullerton focuses on promoting economic and financial literacy and workforce development skills in low-to-moderate income schools and communities. The Center hosts a variety of workshops and events throughout the semester to educate students and individuals of all ages, all in order to accomplish the goal of helping educate and develop our local communities. Therefore, to increase our efficiency of success, we have developed TWAL.
The primary focus of the center’s Titan Workforce Action Lab (TWAL) is to provide opportunities to both women's and homeless shelter residents and facilitate their upward economic mobility.
By harnessing the passion of Cal State Fullerton students and the commitment to serve their community, TWAL intends to come one step closer to solving homelessness in Orange County.
The funds raised for the Center’s Titan Workforce Action Lab will enable residents at homeless shelters to obtain their general education degree (GED), build skills necessary for obtaining a job and maximizing earning potential, and increase their financial literacy.
