Dr. Lori Phelps was an instrumental voice in Addictions Counseling in the state of California and pioneered our Addictions specialization in the Human Services (HUSR) department at California State Fullerton. In addition to being an author and former president of the California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators (CAADE), she was an incredible advocate for students and for excellence in the Addictions counseling field. Sadly, Dr. Phelps was taken from us too soon after a difficult battle with cancer.
In memory of Dr. Phelps, we are fundraising to support a memorial scholarship in her honor. This fund will help support Human Services students seeking certification as addictions counselors in our HUSR Addictions Concentration. All funds will go toward tuition assistance scholarships for students in the HUSR Addictions Concentration.
We invite you to honor her legacy as we work together to help educate excellent Addictions professionals in California!
