Make Double the Impact for Fullerton Arboretum!

Although the Fullerton Arboretum at Cal State Fullerton remains closed due to the pandemic, our horticulture staff continues to to care for the incredibly diverse collection of plants that make this "biological zoo" a world class, fully accredited Level IV Arboretum.  And just like a zoo, whether open or closed, the plants need care. The conservation of rare, threatened plants must continue and the preservation of each unique ecosystem in the garden must remain a priority.  The Arboretum has been given an incredible matching opportunity of $100,000 to help support our horticulture team with the tools they need to care for the garden during this unprecedented time.  Any amount you give will be doubled dollar-for-dollar to help us reach our goal.  Your gift will make a difference for Fullerton Arboretum and the Cal State Fullerton community.

grass and weeds obscuring the pond, pathways narrowed by plant overgrowth and invasive weeds overtaking perennial and mediterranean plantings.
Rosa minutifolia is a rare and threatened plant in California and its only occurrence is in the far southwestern corner of San Diego county.  It is more common south of the border in Baja California where there is less coastal development.  We propagate this plant in our nursery to make it more available and protect the plants growing in their wild, native habitats.
