Engineering and Computer Science Learning Support

The sudden switch to virtual instruction has created challenges in the technical fields of engineering and computer science. Building our capacity to ensure access to virtual tutoring, research fellowships, mentoring, and lab instruction will be instrumental to supporting our student’s immediate needs, while ensuring resources to fund innovative and flexible instruction for the long-term.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the College of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) has launched forward with plans to properly resource virtual instructional delivery to our students. As we remain flexible to the current crisis and expected new norms, the College of ECS has an immediate opportunity to increase virtual peer to peer mentoring, student fellowships, tutoring and lab instruction. The ability of the College to transition to meaningful virtual support services correlates to ensuring we continue to deliver the highly technical instruction and specialized services unique to ECS.

The ECS Virtual Student Support Initiative has been established to ensure access to vital student course content. Examples of what your gift can provide a student includes:Your gift will support:

  • Engineering lab kits
  • Creation of virtual lab instruction
  • Student Research fellowships
  • Virtual tutoring/advising
  • Multi-media technology for content creation
