Project Rebound Food Justice Initiative

Project Rebound is a student support program at Cal State Fullerton that supports the higher education, successful reintegration, and civic engagement of formerly incarcerated students. In 2018, we established the first transformative housing community for formerly incarcerated university students in the nation: the John Irwin House. Now we are launching a Food Justice Initiative at the John Irwin House, and our community is asking for your support!

The Project Rebound Food Justice Initiative is an innovative community-centered enterprise that will expand Project Rebound’s off-campus food pantry, located at the John Irwin House. With your support, we will build:

  • An organic community garden with horticultural training
  • Culinary skills curriculum designed to provide formerly incarcerated students with equitable access to healthy food
  • Resources and tools ensure greater food security

Your donations will help us nourish and provide life-affirming training to our community of dedicated students. Now, more than ever, access to healthy food is critical to sustaining health and wellness and advancing student success.
